Chicago Cubs president Theo Epstein said the team has been discussing potential travel arrangements with Texas for the upcoming series against the Houston Astros, but has not yet made a decision.
Epstein said he will have more to share when the team visits the Lone Star State in the coming days.
Epstein also said that the team will be bringing along an extra bullpen and the staff will be “doing everything we can to get there on time.”
Epstein said during a conference call Tuesday that he hopes the game against the Astros “will be as exciting as it’s been this year.”
He also said the Cubs are in good spirits.
“I think we’ll be very good,” Epstein said.
“We’re going to get the ball out fast.
We’re going play good baseball, which is good.
We just have to stay positive.
I’m confident we’ll do well.
We’ve just got to stay together and stay ready.”
The team will host the Astros on Friday and play the Cubs on Sunday.
