U.N. experts said Thursday that the world’s economy grew at an annualized rate of 0.7% in March, which was revised down from 0.8% in February.
The United Nations’ economic watchdog, the World Bank, said that while the U.K. economy is recovering from the Brexit vote, other economies are still in recession.
The world’s third-largest economy is also one of the world\’s biggest losers from the collapse in oil prices.
A Reuters poll of economists surveyed by Reuters showed that the U,S.
economy contracted at a 3.3% annual rate in March.
The figure was revised up from 2.6% in a Reuters poll last month.
Economists expect growth in the world economy to rebound from the initial slow in the third quarter to a seasonally-adjusted pace of 1.5% in 2020.
