The Time Warner cable network is now offering customers in Texas a way to get around a time zone difference and access the same content on the same set-top boxes as in the rest of the country.
Time Warner says it will be providing Time Warner Fiber, an Internet service that will deliver Internet access to homes and businesses that do not have the same Time Warner TV service as Texas.
“We have made it easy for consumers in Texas to use this service,” Time Warner said in a statement.
The company says its goal is to make Time Warner content available to all customers and to provide broadband access to households in Texas.
Time Warner also said it will provide a separate set-up for those who want to watch HBO Go on a device that does not support HBO Go.
The new service is currently available in Kansas City, Austin, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, San Diego, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, El Paso, San Marcos, El Dorado, Yuma, Tucson, Flagstaff, Scottsdale, Flagstone, Las Vegas and Tucson.
Time Warner says in its announcement that customers who choose to subscribe to the service will have access to HBO Go, HBO Go Premium, HBO GO Unlimited, HBO Pay and HBO Go Movies.
The service is not available to homes or businesses that already subscribe to HBO GO.
Users in Texas will have the option to pay $5 a month for unlimited HBO Go service and to watch up to 30 hours of video at once.
